Bisnis.comJAKARTA – In the quarter-finals of the 2023 Indonesia Masters, Jonatan Christie overcame challenges from Indian player Lakshya Sen jo to advance to the semi-finals.

Playing on the main court at Istora Gelora Bung Karno on Friday (27/1/2023), Jonatan who is usually referred to as Jojo won in a three set battle 16-21, 21-10 and 21-13 in 1 hour 2 minutes.

In the semi-finals, Jojo will face a Chinese player, Shi Yu Qi who frustrated his compatriot, Lu Guang Zu. FYI, Shi Yu Qi frustrated Anthony Sinisuka Ginting’s resistance in the top 16 phase.

Indonesia leaves one more representative in the men’s singles thanks to Chico Aura Wardoyo who will be challenged by Brian Yang of Canada. When these two players last met at the 2022 Hylo Open, Chico managed to win the rubber game over Brian.

Previously, Indonesian men’s doubles Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri had to admit former world champion Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi 21-11, 21-13.
