Suzhou, Beritasatu.com – The Indonesian team played their inaugural Sudirman Cup (Sudirman Cup) Group B preliminary round match with a 5-0 victory over Canada at the Olympic Center in Suzhou, China on Monday (15/5/2023) .
Indonesia’s advantage was opened by winning the mixed doubles, Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah who beat Dong Adam/Josephine Wu 22-20, 21-15 with a duration of 38 minutes.
“I am very happy with the result of this victory. The first win in the first party is very important,” Adnan said.
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting increased Indonesia’s advantage by beating Brian Yang. In a 39-minute match, Ginting won 21-17, 21-16.
“The key to my victory is attacking. Not giving the opponent a chance to develop. As much as possible, my opponent incorporates it into my game pattern,” Ginting said after the game.
