DTE Technology Show as an event for digital transformation achievements of G20 countries – DG Aptika

Jakarta, Directorate General of Aptics – The Minister of Communication and Information Technology inaugurated the Digital Transformation Expo (DTE) technology exhibition at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. The expo is a series of G20 summits as the culmination of the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG).

“I hope this exhibit can be fun as well as a strong reminder of the things we seek in the digital age,” Communications and Information Minister Johnny G. Plate said in Badung, Bali on Sunday. (13/11/2022) .

Delivered by the Minister of Communication and Information, DTE presented the four pillars of Indonesia’s digital transformation along with its latest technological developments. The first is the development of digital infrastructure, the second is the development of a digital economy, the third is the development of a digital society, and finally the development of digital governance.

According to Minister Johnny, the DTE exhibition will have an impact on the exchange of knowledge on digital technologies between the G20 countries. Moreover, the event of an exhibition of immersive technologies indicates the establishment of efforts to digitize the G20 countries as a form that can inspire many parties.

“For those who still have doubts, may this exhibit be without a doubt, and for those who believe in the benefits of digital endeavors, may this exhibit continue to inspire their footsteps. It is even more important to show the world how we are determined to build prosperity in the digital age,” he said.

This DTE event is events the first to be held in the history of the G20 Forum. The Minister of Communication and Information hopes that DTE will be the right time for all parties, as an arena for collaboration to advance the economy using digital technology.

“Let’s use this moment to regroup and strengthen our collaboration even more to recover together, recover stronger,” he said.

As known, DTE will run for four days from November 13 to 17, 2022 at Pecatu Hall, Bali. Visitors can see six areas that represent a picture of the issue of digital transformation as a priority issue for Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.

Six of these zones, starting with the entrance zone which served as a reception area for the collaboration of the G20 countries, then continued in the second zone, the Tunnel of Wonders. In addition, the display area of ​​the four pillars of digital transformation is in the third area, namely G20 Sinergy.

Meanwhile, DEWG Alternate Chair Dedy Permadi said the Four Pillars of Digital Transformation will be present virtually to provide insight into the development of digital transformation in Indonesia.

“In addition to this, digital transformation will also be showcased in several G20 participating countries such as Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates,” said Dedy during the G20 Digital Transformation Expo press release, at Le Meridien Hotel, Jimbaran, Badung, Bali, Saturday (12/11/2022).

After that, the Wall of Collaboration And Metaverse Corner area will be the last part of DTE.

G20 Metaverse Technology features a collaboration between Meta and Ministry of Communication and Information, WIR Group and CfDS Gadjah Mada University.

Dedy Permadi explained that the implementation of the DTE aims for the public to be able to get a glimpse of the innovations and progress of digital transformation that have been and are being led by the governments of the G20 member countries with stakeholders.

“This exhibition will shed light on the development of the digital world in Indonesia in recent years, which should attract investors to invest in Indonesia,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Director of IT Empowerment of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Bonifasius W. Pudjianto hopes that the heart of the implementation of the DTE exhibition will be reached. Namely a resilient post-pandemic recovery to work together in a more inclusive, empowering and sustainable sphere of digital transformation.

Thus, Director Boniface continued, the message of all these digital transformation efforts can be achieved through holding the DTE Technology Expo.

“Moreover events DTE will showcase different kinds of technological advances in the world and how they can be implemented in Indonesia, so people can see this collaboration,” he said.
