Even though it’s actually still under consideration, in fact, there are some who have shown interest [berinvestasi], someone from Canada has sent a letter, but at the moment it is not ready, it is still under consideration. He [investor Kanada] there is some interest, including energy related to support YIA, there is some energy related, that was last year’s entry,” Agus said, Wednesday (09/07 /2022).

He said the DIY regional government was also conducting a study related to the cargo village at YIa airport. It is hoped that this can increase the potential development of cargo business in the DIY field, as cargo at YIA has eight times the capacity of Adisutjipto Airport in Jogja.

“For this cargo village, have foreign investors already entered? We are still just studying, for inbound investors they tend to be ready, whereas currently there is a review in the direction of an investment concept if it is ready. The studies have been done but there are no official investment requests for the goods village yet,” he said.

He pointed out that all investors who enter the DIY are accepted or not should be carefully considered. Among them are the benefits of these investments in reducing poverty and should contribute to increasing well-being.

DPPM is currently carrying out many studies related to the investment potential in the South DIY region to encourage this area to develop as the North DIY.

“The investment potential must be linked to the main problem of poverty and the gap between the northern and southern regions. JJLS is almost finished, we certainly hope that in the future it can improve the economy in the south. In the south, there is tourism, especially tourism to go there, including if there is one, we also carry out various studies on the potential for investment, we always relate it to the tourism potential”, has he declared.
