Jayapura Class I Immigration checks cruise ship documents at Jayapura Seaport in Papua

TRIBUN-PAPUA.COM, JAYAPURA – Officers from the TPI Jayapura Class I Immigration Office conducted an immigration check on the French-flagged cruise ship MV LE Soleal which docked at the seaport in the city of Jayapura , Tuesday (10/04/2022).

Immigration control is part of the permanent procedure for screening foreign vessels before departure, the officer must carry out a thorough inspection of the immigration documents.

The examination or also commonly known as Clearance is performed on 374 passports consisting of 191 passengers and 156 crew members including 18 Indonesian citizens (WNI) and 329 foreign citizens (WNA) from several countries including Australia, United States , Belgium.

Then from Canada, Colombia, France, Italy, England, Germany, Mauritius, Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Russia, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine.

The inspection includes verification of travel documents, application of exit stamps for passengers and ship’s crew on passports, and customs clearance stamps in the crew list manifest and entry of data on the Mobile Border Control Management (BCM) application.

Also present at the inspection were the Head of the Travel Documents Subsection of the Republic of Indonesia, Anton Prasetyo and members of the Immigration Traffic Section of the TPI Jayapura Class I Immigration Office .

In addition, several agencies related to foreign transport crew arrival procedures were also present, including Jayapura Customs, Jayapura Health Quarantine Center, Jayapura Harbor Authority and Port Authority Offices and PT Pelni .

In addition, the vessel is to immediately depart Indonesia via the port of Jayapura for Wewak, Papua New Guinea. (**)
