NIKI will hold a solo concert tour called The Nicole Tour in 21 cities in Canada and the United States starting September 8. This news was transmitted directly by NIKI via its social media account.
In their upload statement, NIKI said this concert tour was a dream come true.
The 23-year-old soloist will open his tour in Vancouver, Canada on September 8 and wrap up his touring streak in Los Angeles, USA on October 22, 2022.
“Guess who will finally do their first solo tour. The Nicole Tour, tickets sold out 6/10 on https://nikizefanya.com10am local time,” NIKI wrote via Twitter on Monday (6/6).
“I so want to sing, jump, scream and passively insult exes with you guys. See you this fall!!!” he concluded.
Ahead of The Nicole Tour, NIKI recently released a new single and music video titled Before. The track is the lead single from her forthcoming album, Nicole.
In an official statement received by CNNIndonesia.com, Before is a single about self-reflection. The single is tinged with nostalgia and chronicles NIKI’s longing for a past relationship that has come to an end.
This song also describes the struggle with feelings and the attempt to let go.
Avant is thick with reverb to emphasize the strong emotion and sentimentality in the lyrics. The reason is that the song is called NIKI and tells about the uncertain end of her first love story.
“I wrote it as a way to close the page in life, an opportunity I’ve never had before. I also feel like opening a new chapter in life by telling the end of the previous chapter is very poetic,” said NIKI.
“I’m very proud of it, and I’ve never been able to do the best breakup song I’ve ever dreamed of before…until now,” he concluded.
Full name Nicole Zefanya, NIKI is an Indonesian singer who has spread her wings in the United States under the auspices of 88Rising. During his career, NIKI appeared as a backup at several major gigs, such as Head in the Clouds with other 88Rising musicians.
Most recently, NIKI appeared as one of the first Indonesian soloists to perform at America’s biggest music festival, Coachella, on Saturday (4/16) with Rich Brian.
On the Coachella 2022 stage, he didn’t just perform a song in English. NIKI featuring Andra and the Backbone’s Perfect, which is the first Indonesian-language song in Coachella history.
