Results of the Badminton International Challenge 2022: 7 representatives in the semi-finals, single sector

TEMPO.CO, JakartaIndonesia passed seven representatives to the semi-finals of the tournament badminton Indonesia International Challenge 2022 to be held in Malang City, East Java. However, there is no host representative simple gentlemen and ladies who got away with it.

Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) PR and media officer Broto Happy in Malang City, said on Friday that the absence of representatives in the men’s and women’s singles numbers was indeed a duty for Indonesian players. .

“Indeed, it is a duty for Pelatnas players and professional players. We have not been able to pass representatives in the men’s singles and women’s singles sectors,” Broto said.

Broto explained that the lack of such representatives needs to be addressed as next week there will still be the Indonesia Master Super 100 tournament in Malang City. It is hoped that in this event the Indonesian players will be able to make up for their failures, especially in the men’s and women’s singles.

“Next week there will still be the Indonesia Master Super 100 tournament. Hopefully the failure of this tournament can be redeemed there,” he said.

On Indonesia International Challenge 2022, there are seven representatives of Indonesia who qualified for the semi-finals. The seven Indonesian representatives are Ghanaian Muhammad Al Ilham / Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, Lanny Tria Mayasari / Ribka Sugiarto and Rahmat Hidayat / Pramudya Kusumawardana.

Other pairings that also qualified were Alfian Eko Prasetya/Ade Yusuf Santoso, Nita Violina Marwah/Tryola Nadia, Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami and Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.

The last players to advance to the semi-finals were the men’s doubles of Pramudya Kusumawardhana and Rahmat Hidayat. The Indonesian men’s doubles managed to get rid of Chinese pair Ren Xiang Yu and Tan Qiang with 21-12, 19-21 and 21-17 draws.

Pramudya said the key to their victory was playing loose and not giving the opponent a chance to attack. However, he admitted to cashing in the second set even though he already had a great chance to finish the game.

“The key to our success was to play more attacking and limit his attacks. So they can’t attack. From there we start believing in ourselves and they don’t seem to be playing well,” he said.

He added that they are both currently focused on preparing for the semi-finals. He felt that there was no problem regarding the game schedule for his fitness recovery process. He will see who the opponents will face in the semi-finals.

“The recovery time is ideal, because you play once a day. There is enough time to recover,” he said.

In the tournament to be held from October 11 to 16, 2022, 238 athletes from 13 countries will participate. International level players include Austria, Canada, China, Estonia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and America.

In the tournament with a prize of 15 thousand United States (US) dollars, 132 players from abroad participated and the rest from within the country.
