The joint statement also affirmed the “historic ties” between the three countries, in addition to defining the priorities of the Lublin Triangle, in particular in the pursuit of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union (EU) and to the NATO.

“The document notes Lithuania’s and Poland’s intention to continue providing military, technical, defence, humanitarian and other support to Ukraine,” the statement read.

The document also expressed support for the Formula Peace Summit in consolidating international support for the peace plan proposed by Zelensky.

Zelensky’s peace formula, which consists of 10 conditions, was presented at the G20 summit in Indonesia in November 2022 and should lead to the signing of a peace agreement.

The proposal also focuses on issues such as nuclear security, food and energy security, as well as Russia’s military withdrawal from Ukraine. This proposal was categorically rejected by Ukraine.
