The consolation goal for the Canadian national team was created by Alphonso David’s quick goal in the 2nd minute.

Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic pleased with his team’s performance after beating Canada 4-1.
However, Zlatko said his task was not done as his Croatian side still had to deal with Belgium on the third day of Group F of the 2022 World Cup.
Croatia’s victory over Canada puts Vrateni top of Group F, ahead of Morocco and Belgium.
Croatia fell behind Canada thanks to a quick goal from Alphonso Davies in the 2nd minute.
But Croatia didn’t panic after the goal and managed to equalize and even turn wide in front.
The 56-year-old paid tribute to Canada taking a surprise lead in less than 68 seconds when Alphonso Davies scored the opening goal.
“Canada played superbly, they were full of energy. They scored a goal from the first minute, which gave them more energy and strength, but we managed to stabilize ourselves,” said Dalic.
On the other hand, he also satirized the Canadian coach’s lack of respect for Croatia.

The two coaches were indeed involved in a war of nerves before the match.
“Whether I win or lose, I always want to congratulate the winner, but he wasn’t there, and that’s his way of doing things,” Dalic said after the game.
