26 foreigners from 15 countries were victims of the Itaewon Halloween tragedy

Meanwhile, at the launch of the Chinese Embassy in Seoul, there were four Chinese nationals, including those who died in the Halloween tragedy.

“On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the victims and extend my heartfelt condolences to their families and the injured,” Chinese President Xi Jinping said.

Meanwhile, Xi said several Chinese citizens were also injured and hoped South Korea would do its utmost to recover and deal with the full extent of the consequences of the tragedy.

Besides Japanese and Chinese foreigners, four Russian citizens were also killed, as reported by the Russian Embassy in South Korea.

“Please send sincere words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims and also wish a speedy recovery to all those injured,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden also sent their condolences over the Itaewon tragedy.

“We mourn with the people of the Republic of Korea and send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to all those injured,” US President Joe Biden said.

Additionally, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also expressed his condolences over the Itaweon tragedy through social media tweets.

“Our hearts go out to those currently responding and to all South Koreans at this very sad time,” Rishi Sunak said.

The Norwegian Foreign Ministry spokesman also said a Norwegian citizen was confirmed dead in the Itaewon tragedy.

“I am deeply devastated by the news of the horrific incident related to Halloween celebrations in Seoul, my deepest condolences to the family and friends who have lost loved ones. My thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy “said the Norwegian foreign minister. Anniken, Huitfeldt.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also sympathized with the Itaewon tragedy. He made it known via his social networks.
