Kaltimtoday.co – On Saturday (29/04/2023), Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr. H. Isran Noor was present at the National Satya Rompin Wira Karya Week 2023 for contact with farmers and fishermen (PENAS KTNA) at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel, Jakarta.
The event was attended by various participants, including the team leader of the Ministry of Agriculture / head of the office of organization and personnel by Zulkifli, the leader of the field verification and observation team as well as the explanation of the procedures of the BTK proposal by Plh Head of Service Medals and Honors Office, and the Military Secretariat of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Brigadier General TNI Purwanto.
The series of activities carried out included the signing of Wira Karya Ministry of Agriculture Badge of Honor Verification Minutes proposed in 2024 by Ministry of Agriculture Team, Setmilpres Team and the East Kalimantan Provincial Government team, in the direct presence of the Governor. from East Kalimantan.
During the activity, the Governor of East Kalimantan was also accompanied by Head of Food Crops and Horticulture Bureau Siti Farisyah Yana, Head of Forest Service Joko Istanto, Head of Livestock and Animal Health Fahmi Himawan and several regional apparatus officers within the scope of East Kalimantan Provincial Government.
Isran Noor explained the optimization of the agricultural sector to increase value addition by supporting the Indonesian economy. He explained the innovations and successes in the areas of agriculture, forestry and fisheries during the period 2019-2022 which have provided a variety of benefits to the community, especially in the development of a million hectares of agricultural land.
The Governor of East Kalimantan also shared the success of the agricultural development achieved by the Province of East Kalimantan for the period 2019 – 2022.
In 2021, East Kalimantan province will export 7,206 tons of fish products to ten countries, namely England, Dubai, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. .
The livestock sector has seen development in the form of a Cattle Corporation Village in the PPU district. Meanwhile, the agriculture and horticulture sectors managed to export their harvests, namely 1,800 tons of Greek bananas to Malaysia, Taiwan, Canada, Greece, Pakistan and Singapore.
While in 2021, the plantation sector reached a production figure of 17.36 tons, its main products being palm oil, pepper, cocoa, deep coconut and rubber.
The forestry sector runs the social forestry program which has a total area of 271,000 hectares which has been given to 19,000 families and 124 units of the SK social forestry group in all districts/towns of East Kalimantan province.
