Jokowi wants to review national science development next month, here’s the progress

The Chairman of the IKN Infrastructure Development Implementation Working Group, Danis H Sumadilaga, confirmed the Chairman’s planned arrival in IKN Archipelago.

Danis said that apart from the projects that have been contracted since last year, his party has launched several new contracts for the Nusantara IKN infrastructure project.

Invoice major country commitments

The government is also actively recruiting investors for IKN. Jokowi has actively lobbied a number of countries to provide support.

One of the things President Joko Widodo did was garner investment pledges from major countries when he was a guest of non-members at the G7 summit in Japan this week.

During his meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida, Jokowi discussed the construction of IKN and pushed for the acceleration of the realization of Japan’s $500 million pledge for low-carbon technologies .

Additionally, Jokowi held a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. During the meeting, Jokowi again discussed the commitment to invest in the development of the IKN of the national archipelago.

Jokowi’s quest for investors for IKN Nusantara also continued during his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Jokowi requested an investment regulation from Canadian pension funds that focused on the development of the IKN of the national archipelago.

On another occasion, bilateral meetings were also held with South Korea. To South Korean President Yoon Suk Seol, Jokowi asked that the construction of Sepaku Semoi water treatment at IKN, which is supported by South Korea, can proceed well and be completed on schedule.
