New York City Mayor Eric Adams said with deteriorating air quality in New York City, he urged residents to stay indoors and limit outdoor activities.
“We are advising residents to stay indoors after noxious smoke from Canadian wildfires crossed the border,” he said, as quoted by the Daily Mail on Thursday (06/08/2023).

Swiss air quality technology company IQAIR shares a direct ranking of countries with the worst air quality. And the numbers are updated live, so they are subject to change.
The company captures this data using PM2.5 measurements. PM2.5 is defined as particles with a diameter of 2.5 microns or less and is a common hazardous air pollutant.
