The Director General of Finance and Risk Management (PPR) at the Ministry of Finance, Suminto, said the government would withdraw external debt 2 billion US dollars or 29,000 billion rupees (exchange rate of 14,800 rupees). The funds are earmarked for 11 programs next year.
“The current plan is that in 2024 we will get a cash loan equivalent to US$2 billion, or using the exchange rate of 14,000 rupees, that means about 29 trillion rupees,” he said. said during a hearing with Commission XI DPR RI, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (13/09/2023).
Suminto said the debt originated from four global institutions, namely multilateral institutions and bilateral institutions. In detail, debt withdrawals from the Asian Development Bank (AfDB) amounted to US$1.03 billion, the World Bank to US$701 million, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at 30 billion Japanese yen and Canada at 100 million dollars.

– Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance – World Bank $155 million
– Mangrove for Coastal Resilience (M4CR) – World Bank $146 million
– Intergovernmental Transfers and Subnational Finance (SYNERGIS) – World Bank US$100 million
– Financing of the green transformation program – World Bank 100 million US dollars
– Investing in Nutrition and Early Childhood Phase II – World Bank $100 million
– National Health Insurance (JKN) reforms – World Bank $100m
– Support for health actions essential for transformation/SEHAT – AfDB 35 million US dollars
– Reform of Public Enterprises/Public Enterprises 2 – AfDB USD 500 million
– Domestic Resource Mobilization – AfDB USD 500 million
– Clean Living Environment Acceleration Program – JICA 30 billion yen
– Program to promote innovative financial inclusion 2- Canada – Canada 100 million Canadian dollars
