Fernando Alonso optimistic can ride at the Canadian GP

F1 News: Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso feels confident he can make it to the next F1 Grand Prix of Canada. He believes his team will make significant improvements.

As we know, the performance of Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin at the Spanish GP yesterday was not satisfactory. Alonso, who presented himself in front of the public, had to settle for finishing seventh overall. It was less competitive than a number of teams such as Mercedes and Red Bull Racing. Although disappointing, but Alonso did not want to drag on. The double world champion is convinced that he can ride in the next series of the Canadian GP. He has a great determination to reap better results there.

“After a bit of a slow start I was able to get back into position, but only up to a point. (George) Russell and Checo (Sergio Perez) were much quicker than us today (Sunday June 11) There’s still a lot of work to do. (But) look at the constructors’ standings. It’s true that Mercedes won important points, but we also outclassed Ferrari,” Alonso said in an interview with local media.

“In Canada we will bring (new) things and in Silverston (Great Britain) too. It all depends on which team will bring the update. In my opinion, this (appearance) is just a race. Then, in Canada, we will destroy them,” he repeated.
