Facing the Canadian GP, Alfa Romeo uses lucky symbols on the C43 livery

F1 News: Alfa Romeo will have a Canadian GP weekend with a lucky symbol in the form of a four-leaf clover (quadrifoglio) fitted to the livery of the C43 car.

This week the F1 2023 championship continues with a visit to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Note, the Canadian GP is one of the historic races of the premier class.

For Alfa Romeo, the winding nature of the track is a good opportunity to try to earn points and bounce back after a difficult start to the season. Currently, the Swiss manufacturer is ranked eighth in the constructors’ standings with eight points.

On the other hand, the Canadian GP is a very special series for Alfa Romeo, a brand closely linked to the world of racing. Landplane competition is all about finding and pushing the limits. It’s what drives the minds of riders, engineers, fans and everyone involved.

The story dates back to 1910, when their trademark cars embodied the noble spirit of Italian sporting greatness, both on the track and on the road. Alfa Romeo’s exploits were then represented by the Quadrifoglio, a four-leaf clover which is a symbol of good luck.

This symbol was born 100 years ago, when Ugo Sivocci managed to win a race after drawing a Quadrifoglio as a talisman on his car. That’s why, to celebrate, Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou’s C43 car at the Canadian GP will feature the logo, which is framed by a gold triangle on the bonnet.
