Verstappen Crazy at Canadian GP, Red Bull Reluctant Jemawa

F1 News: Red Bull adviser Helmut Marko thinks his team is no better than Ferrari, so Max Verstappen won the Canadian GP purely by luck.

Max Verstappen is known for successfully winning the main podium at the Canadian GP last weekend. Red Bull Racing is of course proud of the achievements of its flagship driver.

However, team advisor Helmut Marko stressed that Verstappen’s victory was achieved through hard work. He considered that Die Roten Bullen had quickly lost to the Ferrari duo, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Marko believes the constructor with the two red bulls logo will be stunned seven laps if Leclerc and Sainz start from a more ideal position. In addition, the RB19 car had encountered problems with the increase in tire temperature.

“It’s not easy, we had problems with hard tires to increase the temperature. The race was harder than we thought,” Marko said as quoted by ServusTV.

“But fortunately Ferrari started further, because they are second fastest in tire regulations,” he added.

Max Verstappen’s journey to record his sixth F1 2023 win has been marred by a minor incident. The 25-year-old hit a bird which eventually got stuck in the brake lines of the car, but luckily there was no major damage.

Reacting to the incident at the title holder, Helmut Marko did not want to worry about it.

“Maybe he watches the TV screen, he often does. But overall it’s great to see Max with the assets he has.”
