Bripka Desjan was warmly welcomed at the Port of Batam Center, Thursday afternoon August 10, 2023. He arrived dressed in a red Indonesian police uniform and was greeted by members of the public and the police.
Bripka Desjan also received a flower garland as a thank you for her accomplishments.
On this occasion, Desjan shared his experiences while participating in the international sporting event, one of which was the time difference between Indonesia and Canada.
“That jet lag is affecting his resting pattern,” Zahwani said.
Indonesia’s 2023 World Police and Fire Games was represented by two participants, but still competed in four sports, including the 800 and 400 meter sprint in which Desjan competed.
According to Desjan, the victory is a gift given to his beloved family who always support him.
Apart from bearing the Indonesian name, Desjan also bears the name of the national police institution as this sporting event is held for police and fire institutions around the world.
“Indonesia itself was represented by two participants, Bripka Desjan Sialagan and AKBP Hokben Saor Sinaga who served in the national police headquarters,” Zahwani said.
Zahwani said Desjan also made history by raising the red and white flag on the international stage. He hopes that this achievement will inspire many people, especially the younger generation.
