Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the State Palace on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. The bilateral meeting was held within the framework of the ASEAN-Canda Summit.
“Tomorrow we will launch the ASEAN-Canada strategic partnership. I hope this will result in more concrete cooperation between us,” President Jokowi said at the start of his meeting.
Meanwhile, Trudaeu said this strategic cooperation is important for Canada and the region. He hopes Southeast Asia can develop rapidly.
