This activity is aimed at potential new students in the Independent Selection (SM), Affirmation and International Class undergraduate program, as well as postgraduate and professional programs. In the meantime, for future new students of the SNBT and SNBP courses, it will be held in July 2023.
The health service materials were delivered by three representatives of Yankes ITB, namely Diky Mudhakir, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., as Head of Health Services ITB UPT, apt., Tjokorde Istri Armina Padmasawitri, S. .Si, M.Sc., Ph.D., as Head of the UPT Services Division of ITB Health Services, and Dr. Narissa Anugrawati as General Practitioner at the Clinic ITB Pratama. The event was organized by ITB 2023 Campus Ambassador Rafly Akbar (Industrial Engineering, 2022).
During this session, Diky explained that ITB has a Health Service Implementation Technical Unit (UPT Yankes) as a center for outpatient health services for the ITB community in particular and the general public. This health service was founded in 1977 as Idhata Health Center, ITB Commissionerate. Then, it changed its name to “ITB Family Health Center” in 1981.
Currently, there are two clinics at UPT Yankes ITB, namely Pratama ITB Clinic and Bumi Medika Ganesa (BMG) Main Clinic. ITB Pratama Clinic is located on Jl. Ganesha No. 15h. It offers basic health services such as a general clinic, dental clinic, pharmacy depot, laboratory and electrocardiogram. Meanwhile, the main BMG clinic is located on Jalan Gelap Nyawang No. 102. The health services provided are more diverse than at ITB Pratama Clinic, namely the practice of doctors specializing in the fields of mental health, eyes, internal medicine and oral surgery.
Pratama Clinic and BMG ITB collaborate with BPJS health insurance and there are special subsidies for ITB students. In addition, Armina provided important information on the importance of health insurance, especially BPJS health insurance. This insurance is very important because it can help students deal with unexpected healthcare costs. BPJS Health insurance provides broad coverage, including the costs of outpatient care, hospital care, medications and dental services.
In BPJS Health services, students must first be registered with a first-level health facility such as a polyclinic, family doctor or community health center. Then, if you need referral to a hospital, students can be referred directly to a hospital that collaborates with BPJS Health.
With health insurance, students can be calmer and focused on completing their studies. It is important for students to maintain their health so that they can study well and succeed in their studies at ITB. At the end of the presentation, UPT Yankes ITB also advised students to exercise regularly, get enough rest, eat nutritious food and participate in improving the quality of the environment.
