Montreal (ANTARA News) – British Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton will take their two children, George and Charlotte, to visit western Canada later this month, the Canadian government announced Monday (12/9).
This was their second visit to Canada, following their first visit in 2011, just two months after their wedding.
The British royal family will arrive in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, on September 24, for an eight-day visit that will take them to the city of Whitehorse in the Yukon according to an itinerary unveiled by the Canadian government cited by the AFP news agency.
Governor General David Johnston, Queen Elizabeth II’s representative in Canada, will host the couple, who are expected to discuss environmental issues and the mental health of Indigenous communities and children.
The family will leave Victoria by seaplane on October 1, before returning to the UK on their official plane.
The trip marks the first royal visit for Princess Charlotte, 16 months, and the second for Prince George, 3, who visited Australia and New Zealand in 2014, according to the BBC.
