Starting this week, we are launching Horizon Worlds in France and Spain for ages 18 and over.
We also launched Horizon Worlds in the UK in June 2022, and in Ireland and Iceland in July 2022.

Today we do Horizon Worlds available for free to anyone age 18 or older in the United States and Canada. Horizon Worlds is a social virtual reality experience where you can create and explore together. From beta launch by invitation only Last year, we were amazed by the community that began to form and inspired by the unique experiences they created.
Our vision for Horizon Worlds is to develop a VR space with best-in-class tools for creators to build worlds and explore together. To support creators, we announced a $10 Million Creator Fund in October. We have since launched our first designer competition with cash prizes and will announce the winners later this month.
We’re also launching Arena Clash, a new 3v3 team-based laser tag game in Horizon Worlds.. And we’re releasing new mechanics and templates for creators to use when creating their own games. Creators can now modify working scripts to create their own games for the community to play.
Explore thousands of creator-built worlds
In Horizon Worlds, you’re more than just a visitor: you’re part of what makes it great. And as Horizon Worlds grows, there’s plenty to explore. Here are some of the community favorites:
- Rain of pixels: Explore this retro arcade-style multiplayer platform battle royale with a steam wave theme. Just make sure you don’t fall! (Creators: Matthias and collaborators SKitter_, OcuLos410, Laex05 and Traveseo)
- Wands and brooms: Fly above Townscity on your magical broomstick with your trusty wand by your side, or simply explore the town and hang out with friends. (Creators: TheJohnMclay and collaborators rcdegs, Elastic_Plastic, JHeff.CS, Chrish_Topher_066, Solaris30 and burnbuns)
- Mark’s riverboat: Invite your friends and enjoy a relaxing river ride aboard a three-story riverboat. (Creators: tMARKbirman and 5andw1ch)

You have several security options, including access to your personal safe zone at any time via your wrist menu, which allows you to pause, then block, mute or report people. Horizon Worlds is available as a free download on Quest 2 here (as of January 13, 2022, it will no longer be supported on Quest 1).
