F1 News: Lewis Hamilton records brilliant results. He scored with a superb lap to set the tone in final practice for the Canadian F1 Grand Prix.
The seven-time world champion was seven tenths of a second ahead of the rest of the field in his Mercedes for a time during the first dry test of the weekend at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen managed to reduce the deficit, but the reigning world champion was still 0.374 seconds behind his old title rival as he complained about his RB20 throughout FP3. George Russell set the third fastest time to end a very encouraging session.
Zhou Guanyu performed poorly. He forced a red flag when he hit the wall for the second time in two days, leaving his Sauber stranded on the wet grass at Turn 2.
