F1 News: Mercedes AMG driver Lewis Hamilton admitted he performed poorly at the Canadian F1 Grand Prix on Sunday (9/6) local time. Hamilton failed to beat his own teammate (George Russell) and could only finish fourth.
During the race which took place on the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit, irregular rainy weather made the race unpredictable. Hamilton, who has a wealth of experience in situations like this, should be able to perform well and steal the opportunity to climb to the top. Hamilton himself managed to improve his position after starting from only seventh place. However, Hamilton still struggled to get past the front row and had to settle for fourth place. He felt the Canadian GP was one of the worst races he had ever competed in.
“Not much different [dengan apa yang saya rasakan kemarin]. This weekend my performance was very bad. Yesterday other things happened, especially myself, and today was one of the worst races I’ve ever done, lots of mistakes. But of course, if I could have qualified better, I would have been in a much better position, so that’s the way it is. āIām going back to the drawing board,ā Hamilton said in an interview with local media.
“On the positive side, a big thank you to everyone at the factory who developed this car, because it’s a car we can fight with,” said the driver who will move to Ferrari next season.
