jpnn.comCENTRAL JAKARTA – Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) was the guest of honor at the commemoration of Canada’s 157th anniversary at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta, Wednesday (3/7).
In this activity, Minister AHY briefly reviewed the history of Indonesia-Canada bilateral relations as well as hopes and opportunities for the future.
The Democratic Party’s chairman general said that over the past 70 years, Indonesia and Canada have had a strong partnership.
He said the partnership was based on mutual respect, shared values and shared aspirations between the two countries.
“Our diplomatic relations have also developed rapidly and significantly, contributing mainly to world peace and development. “Indonesia and Canada have worked well together in various fields, such as trade, culture and inter-community relations,” AHY said.
He said the personal relations between the two Indonesian-Canadian leaders were also very good and had a positive impact on bilateral relations between the two sides.
“Each of them meets often on various occasions, such as the G20 and ASEAN summits, to discuss efforts to broaden and strengthen our increasingly close partnership,” he continued.
Minister AHY hopes that the Indonesia-Canada partnership will continue to grow so that we can address challenges, seize opportunities and build a more peaceful, prosperous, sustainable and inclusive world for all.
