According to official data updated on Sunday (10/9), the number of dead victims was at least 2,122 people. Meanwhile, more than 2,400 people were injured, many of whom were seriously injured.

An earthquake measuring M 6.8 struck on Friday (8/9) in Morocco, 72 kilometers southwest of the tourist center of Marrakech, destroying entire villages in the Atlas hills.

Joe Biden meets with China’s No. 2, says there will be no invasion of Taiwan

US President Joe Biden said on Sunday (October 9) that he had met with China’s number two and added that China’s faltering economy would not lead the country to invade Taiwan.

Biden revealed that he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s second person, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, at the G20 summit in New Delhi, India. Xi was not present at the G20 summit.

Biden’s talks with Chinese officials mark a high-level meeting between the two countries, coming nearly 10 months after Biden and Xi met at the G20 summit in Bali in November 2022.

Plane crashes, Canadian PM unable to return home from G20 summit in India

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his entire delegation were forced to stay longer in New Delhi, India, due to a plane breakdown.

Trudeau arrived in India to attend KTTG20 on Friday (8/9) and is expected to return to Canada on Sunday (11/9). Before his scheduled return, Trudeau laid a wreath at the memorial of Indian independence leader Mahatma Gandhi.

The plane’s mechanical failure canceled Trudeau’s scheduled departure from India. The Royal Canadian Air Force, which operates the plane, told the delegation it was “experiencing technical difficulties.”
