As reported by bbc.com, Verstappen began to show his reigning champion qualities after the safety period that occurred with 11 rounds remaining. At that time, he let Lando Norris battle with Oscar Piastri and let the two Mercedes of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton battle it out.
