TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Typhoon Noru, the strongest typhoon to hit the Philippines this year, killed five people.
Typhoon Noru also cut electricity and communications with the northern Philippines.
Even so, no injuries were seen in the Philippine capital, Manila.
Noru, with winds of 185 kilometers per hour, was the strongest typhoon to hit the Southeast Asian nation this year.
The storm hit the coast before nightfall on Sunday (09/25/2022) in the city
Typhoon Noru hit Burdeos in Quezon Province and weakened as it moved through the main Luzon region overnight.
This prompted authorities to close schools, government offices and the stock exchange.

Thousands of people have been moved to emergency shelters.
City of AlJazeeraGovernor Daniel Fernando of Bulacan province, north of Manila, said five rescuers, who were using boats to help residents trapped in floodwaters, were crushed by a collapsed wall and then appeared to have drowned in the water.
“They are heroes helping to save the lives of our fellow citizens in the midst of this disaster,” Fernando told DZMM radio.
“Amateur problem solver. Hipster-friendly alcohol lover. Beer buff. Infuriatingly humble tv geek.”
