Luhut also said that this confidence is reflected in the many bilateral requests with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi Jokowi. “And also a request from President Joko Widodo to organize bilateral meetings,” he said.
He called on the audience to continue to maintain Indonesia’s face in the eyes of the world as host and chair of the G20 this year. From Bali, Luhut said, Indonesia invites the world to recover together, to recover stronger by working together to bring peace to the global community.
As a big country, Luhut said, the government believes Indonesia will become one of the world’s new economic powers. And he saw that there was new hope with Indonesia holding the G20 presidency.
“Bali, as the venue for the G20 event, gives an aura of friendship and peace, I believe that will pierce the hearts of all leaders who come here,” Luhut said.
The G20 presidency, Luhut said, is a historic moment for Indonesia, which will not be held again in the country for another 20 years. “So everyone here, you’re going to see this again in 20 years. If you’re still alive like you are today,” he said.
Luhut also invited the audience to show that Indonesia is a great nation capable of promoting peace. “A nation that is also capable of self-regulation, and we are ready to host this G20 summit,” he said.
