Chinese President Xi Jinping accompanied by his wife Peng Liyuan and his entourage arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Tuban, Kuta, Badung on Monday (11/14).
President Xi Jinping arrived using the presidential plane at 2:40 p.m. WITA. The arrival of President Xi Jinping and his entourage to attend the summit of the G20 summit which was centered in Nusa Dua, South Kuta district, Badung. President Xi Jinping was warmly welcomed upon landing at Ngurah Rai Airport.
After the acceptance ceremony at Ngurah Rai Base Ops, President Xi Jinping took the Hongqi N701 car followed by the entourage to Nusa Dua, South Kuta District, Badung with very strict security. Also present was the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach who arrived in Bali last Monday. He came as a state guest to chair the G20 Indonesia 2022 summit on Tuesday (15/11) today. Bach was accompanied by IOC Chief Executive Christoph de Kepper, IOC Spokesperson Director Mark Adams and IOC Chief of Protocol Marina Baramia.
Their arrival was immediately welcomed by Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali, President of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) Raja Sapta Oktohari and Governor of Bali Wayan Koster. “Of course we feel honored because IOC President Thomas Bach is willing to attend the G20 in Bali at this time,” Raja Sapta Oktohari (Okto) said in his written statement.
The G20 summit summit in Bali brought together 17 heads of state from 20 participating countries. Three other heads of state could not be present, namely Mexico, Brazil and Russia. The three of them had a number of issues in their countries that prevented their heads of state from attending the G20 summit summit.

Kombes Satake Bayu also asked the public to comply with the Governor of Bali (SE) Circular Number 35425 of 2022 regarding the application of restrictions on community activities in the implementation of the G20 Presidency. The SE regulates that during the period from November 12 to 17, 2022, restrictions on community activities will be imposed.
