Oracle Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen take pole position in the race Formula 1 (F1) Canadian Grand Prix (GP) 2022 after being the fastest in the qualifying session.

Qualifying for the 2022 Formula 1 Canadian GP took place at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal on Sunday (19/6) in the morning WIB.

At the start of the third qualifying (Q3) F1 Canadian GP 2022, Oracle Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen was able to take the lead position with a record time of 1 minute 22.701 seconds.

Behind Verstappen is Carlos Sainz of Scuderia Ferrari with a gap of 0.231 seconds.

Fernando Alonso, driver of the BWT Alpine F1 Team, then took third place with a gap of 0.396 seconds.

While Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team driver Lewis Hamilton sits in sixth place with a gap of 1.066 seconds.

Verstappen was still able to maintain his position at the front as Q3 left two minutes. Even Verstappen was able to improve his record time to 1 minute 21.620 seconds.

At the end of Q3, Hamilton was also able to race to take second place with a difference of 1.271 seconds over Verstappen.

Even Verstappen was able to increase his record time again to 1 minute 21.299 seconds and secure pole position for the 2022 Canadian F1 GP.

Meanwhile Carlos Sainz had shifted Hamilton in the final seconds.

But in the dying seconds, Alonso was able to take over for second, followed by Sainz in third on the grid, and Hamilton will start from fourth.
