President of the United States (United States) Joe Biden held an emergency meeting in Bali. The emergency meeting took place after a Russian missile fell which killed two Poles allied with the United States.
Reported by Reuters, Wednesday (16/11/2022), the White House said the meeting was hosted by Joe Biden. Attending the meeting were leaders from Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France and the United Kingdom.
“The meeting was organized by US President Joe Biden, after two people were killed in an explosion in Przewodow, a village in eastern Poland near the border with Ukraine,” the White House said. .
World leaders are in Bali for the G20 summit. The Russian foreign minister was present at the G20 summit, but he had already left Bali.
Poland also summoned Russia’s ambassador to Poland for an explanation after Moscow denied responsibility.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda said it was not yet known who fired the Russian-made missile that fell on its territory. He said the Polish government would investigate with an American team regarding the incident.
“We don’t know who fired the missile,” Duda said, as reported by CNN, Wednesday (11/16).
