TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Indonesia successfully hosted a Group 20 (G20) Summit which was held from November 15 to November 16, 2022 in Bali.

For information, Indonesia assumed for the first time the presidency of the Group of 20 (G20) or cooperation forum bringing together 20 of the main world economies. The G20 presidency started after the end of the G20 presidency in Italy in 2021.

The presidency of the G20 is indeed an important moment for the Indonesian government, because the event of the multilateral cooperation forum is also an event to discover the charm of the beauty of the country.

On the other hand, the Indonesian G20 Presidency has planned more than 180 sets of main activities, including engagement group meetings, working group meetings, MP or Sherpa level meetings, at ministerial level, up to the culmination of G20 activities, namely the Head of State Level Meeting (KTT).

Then, the G20 Presidency series before the Summit, has two pillars of discussion, namely finance or the Finance Track and the Sherpa Track which deals with economic issues and non-financial development.

In addition, there are also engagement groups, namely 10 community groups of various professionals, which raise various topics for discussion.

From December 7 to 8, 2021, it will be the first meeting since Indonesia took over the G20 presidency. The meeting took place within the framework of the 1st Sherpa meeting.

Temporary, G20 Summit in Bali became the highlight of the Indonesian presidency of the G20 which took place on November 15 and 16, 2022.

List of state guests present at G20 Summit

The G20 summit held last November brought together the heads of 16 member states and delegations from the European Union.

President Joko Widodo said 17 heads of state or government from G20 members have confirmed they will attend the G20 summit in Bali on November 15-16, 2022 next week.

“To date, 17 Heads of State and Heads of Government are in attendance,” Jokowi said at Ngurah Rai Grand Forest Park, Denpasar, Tuesday 8/11/2022, as quoted on YouTube by the Presidential Secretariat.

Jokowi said two of the 17 heads of state or government confirmed to attend were US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
