Canadian national team I don’t want to be a team that doesn’t count on World Cup 2022. Here is the profile of the Canadian national team at the 2022 World Cup.
Based on history, Canada is one of many great countries but rarely appears on the world football stage.
The first time the North American country participated in the World Cup was in 1986. Decades of struggle brought Canada to the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
But at that time, Canada could only make it through to the preliminary round. They didn’t budge against the giant footballing nations at the time, such as France, Hungary and the Soviet Union.
Since then, Canada never returned to compete in the World Cup until 2018. Canada’s eight editions of the World Cup had to improve.
Finally, after 36 years of waiting, Canada returns to the world celebration of soccer. At the 2022 World Cup, Canada joined Group F along with Belgium, Morocco and Croatia.
