TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -Transportation and aviation company Whitesky Group partners with a Canadian company, Sinobec Trading Inc, to cooperate on tire investment and developmentvirgin – airport managed by PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I. The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Jakarta.

“We hope that the MoU between Whitesky and Sinobec will continue in the next phases, namely joint venture. where will we be lead consortium For investment at AP I airports. This is the main agenda,” Whitesky Group CEO and Founder Denon Prawiraatmadja said while meeting in Seribu Rasa Menteng on November 20, 2022.

In the meantime, regarding the airports that will be cooperated in this project, Denon continued, his party is still carrying out discussions and selections. Later, PT AP I will determine which airports are on the list for development.

“What is clear is that there are four sites with a total investment plan of around $600 million,” Denon said.

Earlier, Denon said, his party signed a memorandum of understanding with AP I on the sidelines of the B20 event in Bali some time ago. For this reason, continuous cooperation has been carried out with Sinobec to explore the investment profile in the development of airports managed by AP I.

Denon said the collaboration was made to reduce the operational costs of airports managed by API, so that they are more efficient and competitive in supporting the socio-economic activities of the community. This departs from the reality that high operational costs at the airport also impact high airfare prices.

Sinobec CEO and Founder John Lee added that the collaboration with Whitesky Group will realize the concept green energy or green energy. John said his party would develop airports in AP I to become environmentally friendly airports.

“We will do our best to reduce carbon emissions in Indonesia,” John said.
