F1 News: Fernando Alonso is confident he can claim the highest podium in F1 2023 after finishing third at the Bahrain GP last weekend.

Besides the Spaniard’s strong determination to win the race again, there are several factors which he believes can have an effect. According to Alonso, he also needs external factors to be in first place.
“Maybe we need help, last year we had it to get on the podium. Maybe this year we can also get on the podium more than once if there is has a problem with the opponent,” explained the Aston Martin driver. .
F1 2023 has started very well as it managed to set foot on the podium. The Bahrain GP score even surpassed the F1 2022 achievement, as last season it wasn’t even in the top three. He now sits third in the driver standings with 15 points.
