Bus accidents at a daycare center in Canada, two children killed



As a result of this incident, two children are believed to have died on the spot and en route, while six other children were seriously injured after being trapped under a vehicle.

Police believe the accident was a deliberate act.



“We think it was intentional, but we don’t know the motive,” police chief Pierre Brochet said. AFP, Thursday (9/2).

The bus driver is Pierre Ny St-Amand, 51, employed by the STL transport company for 10 years and without a criminal record or incident.

Local residents who saw the incident said the bus was seen deliberately entering the daycare building about 40 kilometers away and rammed the bus into the side of the building causing part of the roof to collapse on the front of the vehicle.

The suspect has now been arrested and will face charges of manslaughter and dangerous driving.

Reacting to the unfortunate tragedy that befell the children, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his grief and promised to bring the matter down completely.

“All Canadians mourn with them, and we will do everything we can to support them in their terrible pain in the days, months and years to come,” he said.

After the accident, the parents rushed to collect their children from the daycare centre, which usually accommodated around 80 or 85 children.
