South Korea is indeed a country visited by many foreign travelers from all over the world.

Not only for its culture, this country is also famous for its attractive and diverse tourist destinations.

To continue to maintain this high-demand tourism, South Korea is releasing visas for tourists from 22 countries.

Tourists from these 22 countries are no longer required to apply for a visit visa or transit visa online to enter the Land of Ginseng.

Citing Korea Yonhap, several countries included in the list are the United States, Japan, and Taiwan.

Other countries are Hong Kong, Singapore, Macao, Canada, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and United Kingdom

“This is a series of actions aimed at attracting 10 million foreign tourists by 2023. The aim is to help stimulate private spending and improve a slowing economy,” said the Minister of Economy and Finance.

Thus, when visiting South Korea, tourists from this country no longer need to apply for a visit visa through the online travel permit system, the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA), from from the end of next year.

K-ETA is required for visa-free travelers from 110 countries, but on this list, only 22 countries have been selected for free entry to Korea.

South Korea also plans to maintain transit visa exemption for transit passengers from 34 countries, including the United States and European countries, to allow them to stay in the country for up to 30 days.
