NASA’s newest crew will orbit the Moon
NASA has named four astronauts who will fly around the Moon late next year, including a woman and the first African American to be commissioned.
The crew of the first lunar mission in 50 years, three Americans and one Canadian, were introduced at a ceremony in Houston, United States.
Mission crew commander Reid Wiseman will be joined by Victor Glover, an African-American naval aviator; Christina Koch, who holds the world record for longest spaceflight by a woman; and Jeremy Hansen, a Canadian citizen who is also a former fighter pilot and the only rookie in space.
Ban TikTok app
The Australian government will impose a ban on TikTok on government-owned devices or “gadgets”, due to concerns about its security and interference from China.
Australia has become the latest nation in the ‘Five Eyes’ intelligence alliance to block the TikTok app, after similar rules were implemented in the US, Canada, Britain and New Zealand. -Zeeland.
The Victorian and Capital Region (ACT) government has confirmed that the ban will be implemented immediately.
Meanwhile, TikTok has denied that its app poses a national security risk.
Papua New Guinea was rocked by an earthquake yesterday
At least three people died in a 7.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Papua New Guinea’s East Sepik province on Monday.
A spokesman for the Papua New Guinea Natural Disaster Center said one person died in Wewak, while two people died in Angoram district.
According to reports, a number of residents of the affected villages required medical attention and dozens of houses collapsed.
Donald Trump will be brought to justice
Donald Trump took refuge in his Trump Tower for the last time, spending his last night before facing justice.
He had arrived in New York from Florida on his private jet, to meet arraignment for criminal charges in the court.
A number of his supporters gathered outside Trump Tower, including a man calling himself Freedom Jeffrey.
He does a ‘live stream’ for his social media followers.

Malaysia passes bill to abolish death penalty
Crimes in Malaysia that previously carried the death penalty are now punishable by caning or imprisonment for up to 40 years.
This legal reform in Malaysia came after the Malaysian parliament yesterday passed a bill to abolish the mandatory death penalty.
Malaysia has had a moratorium on executions since 2018, when it first promised to abolish the death penalty entirely.
But the Malaysian government faced political pressure from many quarters and rescinded that promise a year later, so courts continued to sentence convicts to death.
