TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Former DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said he went to Canada to pursue his career but was embarrassed by his father’s blessing.
Ahok, as he is called, revealed that at that time the conditions in Indonesia were not good, due to the large number of corrupters.
“At that time, I wanted to move to Canada, because I was corrupt, I wanted to sign goods too, contractors did the same, I wanted to move to Canada,” Ahok said on his official YouTube show @CallSayaBTP, cited Sunday (7/10/2022).
According to the plan, Ahok claimed to have been rejected by his father.
In short, his parents wanted Ahok to be a leader in Indonesia.

“My father said don’t move, people need you, they need you, you’re already in high school in the village, don’t worry, and people who don’t go to school , I keep saying, pork oil like us, what’s the use, sir?” Ahok said.
For the rejection, Ahok admitted that he was involved in a debate with his father because he didn’t accept him saying that.
This is because Ahok thinks it is impossible for him to become a leader in Indonesia.
Realizing his childish position, Ahok said the debate did not last long.
