Rosan Roeslani, Deputy Minister of SOE, said the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF) business matchmaking event is in high demand among domestic and foreign investors. At least 185 investors attended the event.

“Company matching brought together around 185 international and domestic investors, some of the listed investors were from Saudi Arabia-ACWA, then French energy company EDF Energy, Kepco from South Korea, there was Ignis from Spain , China Railway Corporation. , there is also China State Construction Engineering, Siemens is also from Germany, from Japan there is Impact Jetro, there is Canada-BC and from England there is Acts,” said Rosan at a press conference at the JCC, Wednesday (6/9/2023).

“In Indonesia itself, there is Astra International, Amman Mineral and Dian Swastika Sentosa. On the international bank side, there is Standard Chartered, Sumitomo, Commerce Bank, Multilateral Bank,” he added.

Rosan also explained that during this event the government presented a number of strategic projects of state enterprises and Bappenas. These projects are involved in many areas such as energy, infrastructure, up to the development of electric vehicle ecosystems.

“I can say here that the national strategic sectors focus on 5 projects involving energy, oil and gas; 9 projects involving toll roads or toll roads; there are 5 projects involving ports/ports; there are 6 projects involving health or “, he explained.

According to him, one of the sectors of most interest to investors is that of renewable energies owned by PLN, as well as that of the ecosystem of electric vehicle batteries and fintech or digital finance.

“One of the things that is generating interest is in the energy sector, decarbonization by PLN which invites to move to EBT is also attracting great interest. Then, with regard to the ecosystem of EV batteries “, she also invites a very high number. Then many want to participate in digitization, especially because they see that there is still a lot of potential in our people who have not been touched by formal funding”, Rosan said.

However, Rosan cannot confirm the final results of this business matching, considering that this process is an introduction to national strategic projects.

“Indeed, we hope this will continue to strengthen not only economic but also geopolitical relations between ASEAN countries and of course in the Indo-Pacific,” Rosan said.
