Annexed by Cyberpunk 2077 developer, Canadian Game Studio changes name

KOMPAS.com – Developer Games Cyberpunk 2077, Red Project CD(CDPR) recently announced the acquisition of a Canadian game studio called Digital spaces.

After being annexed by CDPR, Digital Scapes will change its name to CD Projekt Rouge Vancouver. This game studio will contribute to the development process of future CDPR games.

CDPR previously had three game studios spread across cities in Poland, namely Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw. With Digital Scapes, CDPR now has a game studio based outside of Poland, more precisely in the city of Vancouver, Canada.

“On March 29, 2021, CD Projekt signed an agreement to acquire the Vancouver-based game studio. The two companies have worked closely since 2018,” CDPR wrote via the official blog.

Digital Scapes itself is a game studio founded in 2012. Digital Scapes is considered competent because it is made up of former game developers from a number of well-known studios, such as BioWare, Radical Entertainment, and Relic.

CDPR has even considered Digital Scapes one of its trusted game studios. This relationship has been established over the past three years, alongside game development. Cyberpunk 2077.
