Siaranindonesia.com – Danish men's singles badminton player Anders Antonsen won the 2024 Indonesia Masters title.
Antonsen won after overcoming resistance from Canada representative Brian Yang in rubber matches with a score of 18-21, 21-13, 21-18.
In this fierce match, the BWF World Tour Finals 2020 champion admitted that it was not easy to beat the Canadian representative.
“The match was not easy, considering that the opponent also put up quite tough resistance,” said Antonsen in Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, January 28.
Antonsen admitted that he was satisfied with the title at the Indonesia Masters 2024, considering that he received the full support of the fans who came to Istora Senayan.
“I am happy to compete in Istora Senayan, given that I have won several titles here. “I am grateful and happy to appear in this arena and be able to win the title again and stand on the podium,” Antonsen said.
Apart from this year, Antonsen also won the 2019 Indonesia Masters by defeating Japan's representative Kento Momota in the final.
The champion title at the 2024 Daihatsu Indonesia Masters means that Antonsen has won his second title this year after already succeeding as champion at the Malaysia Open 2024 event.
