Titanic’s Visiting Submarine Has Disappeared

A submarine used to take visitors to see the wreckage of the Titanic has been reported missing.

Five people were on board the ship when it went missing off the southeast coast of Canada.

Rear Admiral John Mauger said the United States and Canada were looking for the ship in a remote area about 1,448 kilometers east of Cape Cod.

He considered the search a “challenge”, but said the team deployed had used visual search and radar “to improve search capabilities”.

“We are deploying all means available to ensure that we can locate the ship and rescue those on board,” Rear Admiral Mauger said.
