The National Police Security Maintenance Agency held a ‘Tactical Ground Game’ (TFG) on Wednesday with all personnel involved in Operation Tribrata Jaya to secure the 43rd ASEAN Summit at the Polda Metro Jaya Center .

“We are carrying out the TFG in order to clarify the tasks, functions and roles that will be performed during security,” National Police Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam) chief Komjen Pol Fadil Imran said during a briefing. a press conference in Jakarta. Wednesday.

In a series of TFGs or simulations of security tactics, Fadil Imran led the preparation ceremony for ASEAN security forces ahead of the ASEAN summit to be held in Jakarta from September 5-7, 2023.


Fadil also mentioned that the personnel involved were from the National Traffic Police Corps, including personnel from the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya, Banten, West Java and several other Poldas. The total workforce is 1,679 people.

Fadil also checked the readiness of personnel, equipment, support technology and operational dynamics.

“The inclusion of issues that arise on the ground can lead to good coordination, communication and control, especially those related to securing the route which is our responsibility in Ring 3,” he said. .

Fadil added that the security of the 2023 ASEAN summit was under the direct command of the TNI commander. Meanwhile, the National Police is conducting Operation Tribrata Jaya for VIP guests, not ‘head of delegation’ or ministerial level.

The 43rd Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit (ASEAN Summit) was held from September 5 to 7 in Jakarta. This activity will bring together leaders and delegates from 22 countries and nine international organizations.

At a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (28 August), Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said the 22 countries were made up of 11 ASEAN member countries, including Timor Leste which would be represented by Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao as well as nine ASEAN Dialogue Partner countries and other ASEAN East Asia Summit (EAS) member countries.

Partner countries and EAS member countries that will be present include South Korea, Japan, India, China, Australia, Canada, Russia and the United States.

Meanwhile, confirmed international organizations are the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the United Nations (UN).
