Bandung – Bandung City Satpol PP oversees night entertainment venues during Christmas and New Year holidays. Venues that disturb and cause unrest in the community will be addressed.
“We are monitoring a number of people, especially those who have caused an uproar in the community,” Bandung City Satpol PP Chief of Investigations and Enforcement Mujahid Syuhada told reporters on Thursday. /12/2022.
Mujahid revealed that so far his party has received many complaints or reports about entertainment venues inconveniencing people who live not far from the location of the entertainment venues.
“If there are a lot of complaints and there is delegation,” he said.
The Bandung Satpol PP also carried out several inspections at entertainment venues in Bandung. Yesterday, Satpol PP officers carried out a sudden inspection of a bar in Sukajadi area, Bandung. According to him, the community complained about the place because it disturbed the tranquility of the inhabitants.
Mujahid explained that his party issued a warning to the place. In fact, a summons was made and a statement was made.
“Complaints have resurfaced, we demand accountability to lower our voices and not disturb public order,” he explained.
Asked about the opening hours of cafes and bars, Mujahid said that based on Perwal’s number 106, the maximum for similar venues to operate is until 00:00 WIB.
“As far as operating hours are concerned, we refer to Perwal’s number 106. If it’s more than that, it’s a violation,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bandung City DPRD member Aan Andi Purnama has asked Satpol PP to further increase surveillance of cafes or bars that often cause trouble to the community.
“I call on the parties concerned, in this case the Satpol PP, to monitor, give a warning, first, second and seal,” Aan said.
Aan also admitted to receiving a similar complaint about a bar that was investigated by the Bandung Satpol PP. According to Aan, the place often emits sounds that disturb the local community.
“This is the second inspection we have done, after checking the decibel sound which seems above 65%, almost 80%, normally below 65% according to the rules,” he said.
“We ask that the sound be lowered, we ask that it be no more than 65% of the decibel. If for example he continues to commit violations again by ignoring the order and disturbing the surrounding community, we will give him a strong warning and strict sanctions,” he concluded.
