Bisnis.comBANDUNG – Si Jalak Harupat Stadium (SJH) Bandung Regency will soon be used as a match venue, following the draw for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup Indonesia at the headquarters. FIFA on Friday (09/15/2023).
This international standard stadium is planned to host the matches of groups D and F as well as the round of 16 matches which will take place alternately in three other stadiums, namely the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in Jakarta, the Gelora Stadium Bung Tomo from Surabaya and Manahan Stadium solo.
Previously, SJH Stadium was often used for national and international level matches, such as PON XIX in 2016 and Asian Games in 2018. Hosting the world-class U-17 football event this year, SJH Stadium has been improved and declared to have met FIFA standards.
Following the draw, the Indonesian U-17 national team was placed in Group A alongside Ecuador, Morocco and Panama. The competition, which will take place from November 10 to December 2, 2023, follows a format in which 24 countries are divided into six groups of four countries each. The top two teams from each group as well as the four best third-placed teams will advance to the knockout stage.
