Beaten by Czechs, Canadian basketball team once again fails to reach Olympic Games

Olympic basketball news:The Canadian basketball team’s dream of making the Olympics was finally dashed. It was thanks to a last-second shot by Tomas Satoransky.

In the match that took place in Victoria, Tomas Satoransky became the hero of the victory of the Czech Republic basketball team. With 1.8 minutes remaining, the player who strengthens the Chicago Bulls managed to shoot and score a point for the Czech victory.

Czech veteran Blake Schilb was the top scorer with 31 points. In addition, Satoransky scored 18 points, Patrik Auda scored 16 points and Ondrej Balvin added 14 points.

From the Canadian camp, basketball player who strengthens the New York Knicks, RJ Barrett led with a score of 23 points. Andrew Wiggins scored 22 points, Nickeil Alexander-Walker finished with 21 points and Trey Lyles added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the home team.

In that game, Canada trailed the Czechs by 12 points with 8:30 left. However, through hard work, Wiggins scored a point and was fouled with 17.2 seconds left, putting Canada behind 94-91.

Finally, Alexander-Walker stole an inbounds pass and sent the ball to Wiggins. The Golden State Warriors player scored three points to tie the score at 94-94 and force the game into overtime. Unfortunately, in overtime, Canada had to admit the Czech superiority.

Besides Canada, the three other countries that will host the final are Lithuania, Serbia and Croatia.
