Dasco said Sandi was not a Gerindra minister, amid reports that the former deputy governor of DKI Jakarta would join the United Development Party (PPP).

Earlier, Dasco made the statement at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta on Thursday, December 29, 2022. “He (Sandiaga Uno) is not a minister of the Gerindra party. Pak Jokowi puts him in a professional environment,” said Sufi Dasco.
Dasco explained that the composition of the cabinet stemming from the Gerindra party is the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
