JAKARTA- Canadian Aeronautical Electronics (CAE), an aviation training company, will launch a pilot training application on Apple Vision Pro. This app is featured in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As the developer of the first flight training application in Vision Pro, CAE wanted to witness a true precision experience using spatial computing technology. In this application, pilots can interact with cockpit visualizations.
The hope is that all pilots who use this interactive application can carry out their training activities remotely. Part of the CAE training ecosystem, this application allows pilots to train anytime, anywhere.
Emmanuel Levitte, CAE’s chief technology and product officer, said they chose Vision Pro so pilots could have a better view of the cockpit. This overview will help pilots practice important procedures.
“This application will allow pilots to engage in a realistic flying environment to better ensure that they are prepared for a full flight simulator session and will be better prepared to deal with any situation,” Emmanuel said.
This flight training application is being tested as part of the Bombardier Global 7500 program and is expected to be launched next spring. Later, this application will be available in Exploration, Guided and Flight Deck Interaction modes.
Explore mode allows users to touch specific controls and view control descriptions, while Guided mode guides users through various aircraft procedures. Meanwhile, Flight Deck Interaction mode can be used to simulate any type of interaction in a natural way.
